Creating an Alias Facebook account
We understand the desire to protect your privacy and safety with Facebook, which is why we make sure to keep our groups private.
You should know that creating an alias Facebook account is technically against Facebook's terms of service, and FB is cracking down on "fake" accounts - this is due to people abusing and creating accounts that spam people or spread misinformation.
So there is no guarantee that FB will let you do it or that it won't "shut it down." For most people, unless they have prominent positions within the church or some degree of 'fame,' it's usually fine to use your real name and profile in the Conquer Facebook group.
If you still decide to proceed, you can create an alias Facebook account like you would make a regular Facebook account.
Keep in mind that you cannot create two separate Facebook accounts from one email address. So you will need to create a new email or use a different existing email for your new Facebook account.
1. Create a totally NEW email address (since FB will need an email for login)
2. When that is done, you can go to Facebook.com and "create a new account" (remember you need to "log out" of your 1st FB profile first)
3. Make sure you put in your NEW email in and do NOT connect your account to a phone number.
4. Click on Sign Up
6.If you already have Conquer access under a different Facebook account, you can remove yourself from the group on your regular profile and re-request to join under your alias profile.
7. Once you have completed that, your NEXT step is to request to join the Facebook group for your program. If you need help finding the link, please email assistant@leslievernick.com
